3-Indolebutyric acid is used as a plant growth regulator and is applied with 0.001% to 0.0001% of chemical solution. It can promote the rooting of many trees and flowers, and has great significance for the reproduction of saplings and flowers. Cannot be used on plant leaves when used.
3-Indolebutyric acid is obtained by condensation of hydrazine with γ-butyrolactone at the reflux temperature of tetrahydronaphthalene. The operation method is as follows: 1.17 g of hydrazine, 1.4 g of potassium hydroxide, 0.2 g of phase transfer catalyst polyethylene glycol and 3 mL of dry tetrahydronaphthalene are mixed, stirred at room temperature for 30 min, and γ-butyrolactone is added in an amount of 1.12 g, which is greater than Reflow at 200 ° C for 4 h. The moisture in the reaction system is removed by a water separator. After cooling, the solid was completely dissolved in 15 mL of water, and the organic layer was separated and acidified with hydrochloric acid to precipitate a large white solid. After suction filtration, washing with water and drying, 1.88 g of product was obtained, and the crude yield was 92.6%.
The method has the advantages of mild reaction conditions, simple operation and high yield.
