Description:
Pyridoxal-phosphate (PLP, pyridoxal-5'-phosphate, P5P) is a prosthetic group of some enzymes. It is the active form of vitamin B6, which comprises three natural organic compounds, pyridoxal, pyridoxamine and pyridoxine.
Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate is a basic ingredient extracted from or chemically synthesized in living organisms and used in the analysis and identification of biological components and in the manufacture of biological products. With the development of life science, biochemical reagents have developed into a large category of chemical reagents, with more than 10,000 commodities. There are 2,500 biochemical reagents sold in China. Biochemical reagents are easy to lose vitality after being heated, damp, or exposed to light. For example, most enzyme reagents are resistant to heat and need to be stored at 0 ~ 5℃, while some enzyme reagents used for genetic engineering need to be stored at -20℃.
Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate reagent has certain requirements for purity and technology. For example, the enzyme reagents include crude enzyme, crystallizing enzyme, sub-crystallizing enzyme and enzyme preparation without some miscellaneous enzymes. There are three ways of producing biochemical agents: (1) separation and purification from organisms; (2) chemical synthesis; (3) fermentation. The technical requirements for biochemical reagent products include: content, melting point, freezing point, rotation, moisture content, spectral characteristics, refraction, density and biological activity.
